Who We’re Looking For
The Director of Special Projects is responsible for a broad and diverse range of responsibilities and assignments to support Gaudenzia, Inc.’s mission and agency leadership, both internally and externally, and to advance various dimensions of Gaudenzia, Inc.’s work. This individual’s job is complex and requires independent thought and action. To ensure success, the Director of Special Projects should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated with a keen interest in results-oriented completion of processes. They should be able to build relationships with internal corporate, regional, and facility leadership and partners to reach goals and implement processes that benefit the organization and align with the mission.
The individual within this role is expected to be a strategic thinker who works across multiple regions and workgroups with meticulous attention to detail, works well under pressure, and meets deadlines. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, the Director of Special Projects should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated with a keen interest in results-oriented completion of processes. This individual will work under the leadership of Gaudenzia's Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities:Your responsibilities in this role may include:
- Conduct research, planning and/or development of new concept papers in conjunction with agency leadership
- Develop written grant proposals for new and existing projects to secure or maintain project funding
- Assume responsibility for coordinating all aspects of the grant application process including the research, data collection, input from stakeholders, and development of budget with assigned staff
- Maintain detailed record of all public funding opportunities that the agency has pursued
- Serve as liaison between executives and key staff to ensure clear lines of communication, sharing of resources and information, and assisting with joint projects and initiatives, as needed
- Prioritize, route, monitor and follow-up on the completion of key project tasks
- Efficiently manage new and unplanned projects with agility as they arise
- Assist in the development of briefs and one-pagers for legislative and advocacy purposes
- Support executives and staff members in the drafting of internal and external communications products, including written correspondence, op-eds, presentations, and other materials
- Prepare and analyze data and or information for reports submitted for Quality Assurance including all Performance
- Indicator data or other special data sets. Develop professional data reports that synthesize and present data in ways the make it easily accessible to stakeholders
- Develop and implement communications, projects monitoring, and reporting systems
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in business and/or human service administration plus five years’ experience or Master’s degree and 2 years’ experience. Advanced oral & written communication skills. Proficiency in Math and English and computer programs.
Experience: Five (5) years administrative experience plus one-year supervisory experience preferred
