About the Job
Connsci is seeking an experienced Director of Solutions Architecture (Data and Cyber Security) to join our growing organization. This person will report directly to our CEO and will be responsible for leading the technical side of our Data and Cyber Security practices inside the Department of Defense.
This individual will work closely with business development and solutions delivery teams to drive technology vision and align it with strategic company objectives. This person will engage in pre-sales activities including client presentations/demonstrations and solution design. The individual will also work on the design and delivery of solutions to our customers, primarily across Department of Defense agencies. Specific areas of focus may include Data Science/Analytics, Data Visualization, Cyber Security, Data Privacy, and adoption of AI/ML solutions. Specific responsibilities may include:
Solution Design and Architecture:
- Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that aligns with corporate objectives.
- Lead innovations that enhance efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and secure Connsci's competitive advantage.
- Provide solutions architecture for various proposals as well as active client engagements
- Solution prototypes, demonstrations, and proof of concepts (POCs) to showcase capabilities and features solutions
Technical Expertise and Consultation:
- Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) providing high-level technical knowledge around architecture, integration, and deployment of Data and Cyber Security solutions.
- Advise clients on best practices to maximize value and efficiency.
- Research and stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to identify business needs and recommend scalable solutions.
Sales Support:
- Work closely with the business development team to understand customer needs and provide pre-sales technical support.
- Support the sales cycle by responding to RFPs/RFIs, creating solution proposals, and preparing technical documentation.
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations that effectively communicate the value proposition of Connsci and our solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients; understand their business needs, challenges, and goals; and provide tailored solutions.
Location: This role will be able to work primarily remotely (up to 90%) but does require some office time for team meetings/collaborative initiatives as well as occasional client site visits around the DC Metro region.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience with Cyber Security, Data Science, or Data Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales or solutions architecture
- At least 3 years of experience in developing or selling solutions for federal customers within the Department of Defense
- Bachelors' degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree, or higher, in computer science or related field
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
- 5+ years of experience with Data Analytics
- 3+ years of experience working with cloud technologies
- 1+ year of experience with Machine Learning frameworks, tools, and platforms
