As a Director of Sales, working within the sales department at PanelClaw, Inc., you will be responsible for executing PanelClaw’s sales strategy within the Western U.S. territory and exceeding sales targets. You will partner with your peers in Sales and Marketing to identify and develop sales opportunities across all PanelClaw markets in the territory. You will originate and nurture deep relationships with various external stakeholders to ensure that PanelClaw continues growing market share, delivering as much revenue as possible from the territory in service of Enstall’s mission to bring Solar, Sooner.
What You’ll Do
- Execute sales strategies and processes that drive higher levels of revenue growth.
- Establish, develop and manage relationships with new solar Developers and EPC’s and ensure that PanelClaw becomes their preferred racking provider.
- Maintain dominant position among our existing base of strategic partners and grow wallet share with them where possible.
- Travel frequently to visit partners in their offices, on jobsites or at tradeshows.
- As a leader within the sales organization, the Director of Sales will actively build and maintain a network of upstream stakeholders and influencers to specify our solutions. This includes (but is not limited to) engineering firms, Fortune 500 and MUSH off-takers, REIT’s, finance providers, asset owners, O&M providers, insurance companies and building departments.
- You will have a dedicated Project Manager on your team which will take over as the main POC for all partners on projects where PanelClaw is not competing. You will be responsible for maintaining and defending our position on these projects, but your Project Manager will own the transaction; handling all details – allowing you to focus on new business.
Daily tasks will include:
- Provide expert product information and application advice to customers and recommend optimal PanelClaw product solutions.
- Host presentations introducing partners to our company and our products and services
- Generate leads and pursue qualified targets
- Review, filter and track new commercial sales opportunities.
- Record customer contact information, opportunity details, and other information as necessary. Track sales-related tasks, leads, and opportunities using Salesforce.
- Generate cost estimates, sales quotes and communicate lead times.
- Perform timely follow-up by email and/or phone.
- Deliver technical documents, marketing material, and commercial data to customers as required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred)
- Proven track record of success in the C&I solar sector in either product sales or project development
- Deep understanding of the C&I Solar ecosystem with an established network of advocates and customers
- Strong leadership skills and technical acumen
- Experience successfully working in a decentralized, remote office environment.
- Must possess a valid US driver’s license.
- Motivated self-starter and fast learner
- Persistent, driven and goal-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel approximately 25% of the time

What We’ll Offer
We offer a competitive compensation determined by each individuals relevant experience, skills, education and location. We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $80,000 and $90,000/annually. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for our commission plan. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates, we hope that you still apply as there may be other roles that better align.
