POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Sales Training will play a critical role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of Cogir's sales team. This position will oversee the design, execution, and evaluation of comprehensive sales training programs, including onboarding, ongoing education, and advanced sales techniques. The Director will also lead the "Train-the-Trainer" initiative, equipping senior Community Relations Directors (CRDs) with the tools to mentor and train others effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Training Program Development
- Develop and implement strategic training programs that align with Cogir's sales objectives and community needs.
- Facilitate orientation for new sales team members, ensuring they are proficient in our offerings, processes, and customer engagement strategies.
- Design continuous education programs, including workshops, seminars, and e-learning modules, to upskill the sales team.
Sales Leadership and Mentorship
- Establish and lead the "Train-the-Trainer" program, empowering senior CRDs to mentor and train their teams.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the sales team to promote professional growth.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for sales leaders across all Cogir communities.
Performance and Feedback
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of training programs using performance metrics and feedback loops.
- Provide actionable insights and strategies to improve team performance and drive sales outcomes.
- Collaborate with regional and community sales leaders to address training gaps and challenges.
Community and Team Engagement
- Partner with community leadership to align training initiatives with operational goals.
- Represent Cogir at sales and marketing events, conferences, and industry gatherings.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive analysis, and best practices to incorporate into training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- A Masters degree is preferred.
Experience:
- At least seven (7) years of experience in sales training and leadership, with at least 3 years in senior living, hospitality, or a similar industry.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering impactful training programs.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- An analytical mindset is needed to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Yardi), Microsoft Office Suite, and learning management systems (LMS).

WORK SETTING
- In-office Monday through Friday.
- Limited travel is required.
- Eligible candidates must be located in the Phoenix Metro area.
