Responsibilities:
As the Director of Sales (Student Housing), your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company objectives for products and services.
2. Manage the sales and leasing team to ensure they meet their individual and collective targets.
3. Oversee all leasing activities, including direct leasing efforts, leasing administration, and lease renewals.
4. Use StarRez to manage all aspects of student housing, including room assignments, billing, and reporting.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to promote our student housing options.
6. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and key issues.
7. Prepare and present sales reports to the executive team, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
8. Train and mentor sales and leasing staff, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
9. Work closely with other departments, including property management and customer service, to ensure a seamless experience for our students.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Director of Sales (Student Housing) position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on leasing and student housing.
2. Proven experience using StarRez or a similar property management software.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal team members and external partners.
5. A deep understanding of the student housing market and the unique needs of student tenants.
6. Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
8. A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
