Director of Sales & Project Management - CandyCo LLC

Job purpose

CandyCo is a manufacturer of confections for the largest brands in the nation. As a company we are a solution provider for our clients who value On Time, In Full, Quality deliveries to our clients. We are looking for a Director of Sales who would receive projects from our Sales VP and take responsibility for internal execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build out processes that support needs and provide visibility of status of project to all stakeholders
• Assign the project team and work with them to control project changes, minimize risk, and generate maximum team performance, keeping all accountable for their assigned work
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, and lead project update meetings, maintain timelines, resource utilization, and prepare project reports
• Navigate between departments to achieve success for client
• Manage capacity of Project Managers and allocate projects appropriately
• Participate as a Project Manager yourself
• Maintain standards of execution day in and day out (responsiveness to clients, thorough execution of processes, fully satisfy all stakeholder needs)
• Foster team cohesiveness.
• Understand retail industry (prior experience valued)
• Understand the sales process (prior experience valued)
• Understand manufacturing (prior experience valued)
• Manage surprises, failures, and opportunities with fairness and wisdom
• Participate in sales meetings as needed (travel required)
• Recap action items and help create responses and internal projects to meet customer needs
• Build Project Management team around execution

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS required
• 6+ years of experience in business development, within the food industry a plus
• Excellent presentation skills
• Skilled in MS Office Applications
• Knowledge and experience with design companies, such as: Schawk, Equator, Sun Branding and Periscope
• Proficient with packing die lines, printers, proofing while supporting cross-functional teams each key deliverable
• Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred
