Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position:Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- New Sales
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospective and existing clients, using strong consultative selling techniques.
- Generate opportunities and nurture accounts through a clearly defined discovery and qualification process.
- Identify prospects’ needs, challenges and initiatives and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Analyze sales metrics and develop actionable strategies for growth.
- Update Pipedrive with activities and client meeting notes.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand the company’s customer base and maintain a pipeline of potential clients, providing accurate forecasts.
- Execute territory and account plans.
- Client Engagement & Customer Service
- Manage, grow, and sustain relationships with a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Serve as a resident Subject Matter Expert, helping clients understand their need, company value and how to use the information from a buyer/seller’s perspective.
- Work with account management team to help successfully renew existing clients.
- Respond to incoming client inquiries and support customer service.
- Attend conferences and industry events, represent the company brand in the market.
Requirements:
- 10 years of B2B sales experience, at least 4 years in a senior, high-impact role – DaaS and SaaS experience is a plus or equivalent experience in a commercial role involving commodity transactions
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding targets and driving revenue growth
- Resourceful, proactive and pragmatic
- Ability to analyze prospects and identify market needs/pain points
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work autonomously and with integrity, with a customer-first focus
- Proven problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth atmosphere
- Preferred experiences include:
- Undergraduate degree
- Knowledge of natural gas trading/marketing in North America
- Industry knowledge of and/or experience with natural gas end-users, such as manufacturers, petrochemicals & refining, industrials, and the food industry
- International sales experience, preferably in APAC and/or EMEA
- Proficiency with Pipedrive
- Bilingual English Spanish
