Position Overview:
As the Director of Sales at Holiday Inn Garland, you will be a key player in driving hotel revenue and expanding our brand's presence in the local market. In this role, you will build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners to promote the IHG brand and maximize sales. Your expertise in sales strategies and tools will be essential in achieving targets and contributing to the continued success of our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other key stakeholders.
- Promote IHG's brand loyalty program and benefits to prospective clients, ensuring a high level of engagement.
- Effectively utilize sales tools and CRM software to identify leads, close deals, and maximize hotel revenue.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional materials and campaigns.
- Lead site visits and presentations for potential clients, showcasing the unique offerings of our property.
- Attend industry events and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and create new business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and local opportunities to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Work closely with the hotel's management team to ensure alignment on sales strategies and goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hotel sales, business development, or a related field. Experience within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- IHG Brand Knowledge: Familiarity with IHG brands (including Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, InterContinental) is a plus.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and securing new business.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
- Networking: Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities to foster lasting partnerships.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools.
