Director of Sales
Overview:
The Director of Sales will lead our Producer team by setting an example of professionalism and excellence in serving our customers and prospective customers. In this role the key to success is the ability to coach, train, mentor and develop our Producer team to achieve their goals and the company’s goals. Being expert on our value proposition and sales process is a key to success, while implementing continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, manage and coach producer sales team in all aspects of selling our commercial lines and risk management solutions.
• Effectively, with a positive approach, hold Producers accountable to reporting for pipeline, meetings and other KPI’s to insure goals are achieved.
• Achieve sales and margin goals.
• Execute our go-to-market strategy with the producer team.
• Execution of our sales plans and processes for accurate pipeline management and forecasts.
• Teach and coach a consultative selling process that focuses on customer needs by creating the right solutions.
• Work alongside Producer in closing deals.
• Establish top-of-funnel KPI’s for the team to deliver deal flow required to attain revenue goals.
• Hire, onboard and develop new team members when required.
• Actively participate in strategies and tactics for the overall business in collaboration with producers, marketing and leadership.
• Manage team of sales producers to include daily interactions such as approving time, expenses, and performance reviews.
• Identify and manage Strategic Account planning and business reviews as determined with leadership.
• Network with industry leaders and carriers to develop strong mutually beneficial relationships, including industry events and shows.

• Maintain a clear understanding of the market, competitors and the industry.
• Demonstrates empathy with reluctant or frustrated clients.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM and Outlook expertise.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Holds at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in finance, Marketing, or Business.
• Industry experience or relevant adjacent industry experience.
• 5 years minimum proven sales leadership track record.
