As a Permanent Director of Sales, you will play a critical role in driving our company's revenue growth. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in the sales industry, preferably in the resort and hospitality sector. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, leading a high-performing sales team, and ensuring our sales targets are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
2. Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
3. Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates.
4. Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
5. Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
6. Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
7. Assist other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
8. Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
9. Direct product research and development.
10. Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote the product.
11. Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
12. Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.
13. Develop and manage sales budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
14. Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
15. Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on resort and hospitality sales.
3. Proven track record in meeting sales targets and managing sales teams.
4. Proficient in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire sales teams.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
8. Strong business sense and industry expertise.
9. Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
10. Ability to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
11. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
12. Experience with sales forecasting and sales presentations.
13. Experience in market research and understanding of market trends.
14. Experience in strategic planning and execution.
15. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
