As our Director of Rooms, your day will be filled with various responsibilities aimed at improving guest service and department efficiencies. You'll be the hands-on leader ensuring the seamless movement of guests in and out of the resort and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction. Plus, you'll have a significant role in achieving optimal revenue levels.
What You'll Do:
- Direct and control all activities of the Front Office, Concierge, Bell Staff, Valet, Housekeeping, and Laundry.
- Oversee and understand all Rooms Division systems and operations.
- Deal effectively with all departments daily to ensure high standards of guest services.
- Ensure guest and employee satisfaction and promptly resolve any issues.
- Supervise all areas, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action.
- Conduct performance reviews as necessary.
- Monitor and control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control.
- Assist in preparing business forecasts. Provide suggestions that will improve revenue, reduce cost and increase guest satisfaction.
- Create department annual budgets and assure that financial goals of the division and the resort are being met.
- Interact with VIPs, Homeowners, and Group Coordinators as necessary.
- Work closely with Reservations, Sales, and the Front Office to maximize rate, occupancy, and total revenue.
- Supervise all Rooms Division areas to ensure compliance with management objectives and procedures.
- Develop and implement service standards to ensure a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
- Maintain outside business contacts within the hotel/resort industry.

What You'll Need:
- Previous FORBES experience.
- A college degree, preferably specializing in hotel management or business administration, or equivalent experience.
- Three to Five years’ previous experience as a Director of Rooms at a luxury resort.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease.
- Computer skills required, advanced PMS experience preferred.
- Strong guest and team member relations skills.
- Good command of the English language.
- Legal work authorization in the United States.
- Flexibility in schedule, able to work morning/afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays.
