As a Permanent Hybrid Director of Revenue Cycle Management, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire revenue cycle process, from patient registration and insurance verification to payment collection and financial counseling. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong financial acumen, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work both remotely and on-site.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the revenue cycle management team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain revenue cycle management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
3. Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, coding, billing, collections, and financial counseling.
4. Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the revenue cycle.
5. Work closely with other departments to streamline processes, reduce denials, and improve cash flow.
6. Provide ongoing training and education to the revenue cycle management team on best practices and changes in regulations.
7. Develop strategies to improve patient satisfaction regarding financial interactions.
8. Collaborate with the executive team to develop financial forecasts and budgets.
9. Lead and manage special projects related to revenue cycle management as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
3. In-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, insurance verification, coding, billing, collections, and financial counseling.
4. Strong understanding of federal, state, and payer regulations related to revenue cycle management.
5. Proven track record of improving revenue cycle performance and cash flow.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
9. Proficiency in using revenue cycle management software and other relevant technology.
10. Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) certification is a plus.
