Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role involves managing the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, and ensuring accurate financial statements. You will work under minimal supervision, collaborate extensively with the finance team to refine accounting processes, and engage in both regular responsibilities and special projects.
Responsibilities:
Oversee monthly accounting close processes including journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Apply accounting principles effectively and communicate these principles clearly across the team.
Suggest and implement improvements in financial processes for enhanced efficiency and scalability.
Support external audits, addressing any inefficiencies identified.
Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP through continuous evaluation and adherence to accounting procedures.
Handle special projects and spontaneous reporting requests as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
2-3 years of recent, relevant accounting experience.
Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Proficient in advanced MS Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA certification and experience in a Big Four accounting firm.
Previous experience in a technology or high-growth company within a SOX compliance framework.
Proficiency in NetSuite.
Proven ability to research and document accounting resolutions.
