As a Director of Research at Future Partners, you act as the trusted research partner to our clients, serving a critical leadership role in fulfilling our Research Department’s mandate for client satisfaction. You are responsible for the development, oversight and execution of market research for projects we lead on behalf of our clients, as well as for greater consumption among the travel industry and media. You act as a market research practitioner and project team leader, executing Future Partner’s research product and services lines, helping realize the Company’s revenue goals, and overall vision and mission to be the go-to resource for traveling consumer insights.
Responsibilities & Required Services
- Lead the execution of proper market research while following company established guidelines, ensuring high integrity in the data collected, and meeting all scope of work and reporting deliverable goals on timeline and to our clients’ satisfaction.
- Direct management of client accounts for research program execution by taking charge of client relationships, ensuring their needs are met with precision and a personal touch. Proactively engage with each client to understand their unique challenges and opportunities.
- Contribute at all stages and steps of both quantitative and qualitative research projects including, but not limited to, survey design, questionnaire writing, data analysis, report writing, presentation development and delivery, focus group and in-depth interview moderation, qualitative discussion guide development.
- Project management and ensuring execution excellence by managing projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams from conception to completion, ensuring high standards of quality and timeliness.

- Keep clients and internal stakeholders informed with regular updates, reports, and presentations. Utilize exceptional communication skills to convey complex information clearly and convincingly.
- Demonstrate agility and a proactive approach in addressing client needs and market changes. Adapt strategies and tactics swiftly to seize opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Travel to oversee research execution, client presentations and sales opportunities and to represent the company at business events.

Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or higher desired.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in/with consumer insights, consumer research, market research, or in an analyst/strategy role; preferably within the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
- Highly proficient in data preparation, interpretation and reporting visualizations.
- Excellent organization and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel analytic tools as well as other core programs of the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience, Knowledge & Attributes We Consider a Plus
- Knowledge of the travel, tourism & hospitality industry, especially destination marketing organizations.
- Experience with Hive or other project management software.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system.
- Experience with Forsta or similar enterprise survey software.
- Experience working across departments in different variations of project teams.

- If located outside the San Francisco Bay Area, this role is remote.
- Travel for team meetings, conferences and client events is required.
