Director of Research Development - Germer International - Pharmaceutical Recruiting

The Director of R&D / Regulatory Affairs will play a key leadership role in overseeing research and development initiatives, as well as managing all regulatory compliance aspects for our nutraceutical and cosmetic product lines. This position requires a seasoned expert with deep knowledge of product development, regulatory pathways, and industry standards within the nutraceutical and cosmetic sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end product development process for nutraceutical and cosmetic products, from concept through commercialization.
• Lead formulation efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products align with company goals and market trends.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the R&D and Regulatory teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and compliance.
• Develop and implement regulatory strategies that support product launches, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, FTC, EPA, Health Canada, and international agencies).
• Prepare and submit regulatory documents, including new product notifications, ingredient evaluations, and labeling reviews.
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and proactively adjust strategies to maintain compliance.
• Work with Quality, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure product safety, quality, and efficacy from concept to commercialization.
• Liaise with external partners.
• Stay updated on scientific advancements and regulatory changes to keep the team informed and competitive in the market.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related discipline).
• 10+ years of experience in R&D and regulatory affairs, specifically within the nutraceutical and/or cosmetics industries.
