The Director of Registration Services is responsible for managing daily office operations related to student registration. Their primary focus will be to enhance the student registration and degree progress experience by finding efficiency and developing documentation to support a consistently superior level of service. The Director of Registration Services is the team lead for data process improvement in all areas of the One Stop Office. Their contributions support the mission of the One Stop Office and the University as a whole.
You will:
- Supervise Registrar student support staff
- Prepare and deliver training documents and training sessions
- Coordinate office coverage including front-desk responsibilities
- Host frequent team meetings with prepared agendas and measurable outcomes
- Develop and maintain a culture of service excellence
- Research and implement best practices regarding student support and experience
- Propose and implement operational changes to the One Stop Office
- Collaborate with University departments to support process improvement, data integrity, and service enhancements
- Develop reports for university stakeholders and others as needed
- Maintain the data, records and systems related to student enrollment with discretion and accuracy in accordance with internal policies and external regulation
- Submit and manage Ellucian and IT work orders for registration related issues
- Manage Fresh Start, Resumption of Study, and Return from Leave processes
- Provide backup support to the Associate Vice President of the One Stop Office
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and resource sharing across the One Stop Office and other Enrollment Services areas
Secondary Duties:
- Support the overall operation of the One Stop Office
- Performs other duties as assigned
You need:
- Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of experience in a Registrar’s Office preferred
- Administrative experience in higher education desired
- Experience with Banner preferred
- Experience working with faculty members and administrative/academic departments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to enhancing the internal and external customer experience is required
- Professional presentation and demeanor is required
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams is necessary
- Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and advance multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and take individual initiative as well as the ability to work as a collaborative team member
- Ability to work early morning, evening, and/or weekend hours as needed in support of student events and initiatives
