We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Director of R&D - Formulation of Oral Solid Dose (OSD). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our growing scientific industry by leading the development of innovative and high-quality oral solid dose formulations, including tablets and capsules. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new formulations, improving existing ones, and enhancing the stability and shelf life of our products. This role requires a deep understanding of pharmaceutical science, particularly in small molecules and delayed release systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the R&D Formulation team in the development of oral solid dose (OSD) products, including tablets and capsules.
2. Utilize expertise in small molecule pharmaceuticals to create innovative and effective formulations.
3. Develop and implement strategies for improving the stability and shelf life of existing products.
4. Oversee the formulation and development of delayed release systems.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
6. Stay abreast of latest scientific advancements and regulatory guidelines in the field of oral solid dose formulation.
7. Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
9. Present research findings to stakeholders and at scientific conferences.
10. Ensure all activities are compliant with regulatory standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
1. A Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 10 years' experience in the development of oral solid dose (OSD) formulations, including tablets and capsules.
3. Proven experience in small molecule pharmaceuticals and delayed release systems.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of stability studies and shelf life testing.
5. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on complex scientific data.
7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Proficient in the use of standard industry software and tools.
10. A strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
