Job Summary:
The Director of Psychology is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the psychological services within Children’s Specialized ABA, ensuring high standards of care and support. The Director will oversee psychologists and speech language pathologists.
· Conduct standardized assessments for autism evaluations, such as ADOS-2, CARS-2, GARS, BASC-3, Vineland-3, ADI-R.
· Write diagnostic evaluation reports that paint a clear picture based on your interpretation of test results.
· Share diagnostic findings, recommendations, and feedback with families, collaborating with our psychology team to ensure the delivery of quality psychological services.
· Develop and recommend treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnosis.
· Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
· Collaborate across departments to ensure the delivery of quality psychological services.
Qualifications
· A completed Doctorate degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology, and licensure with the NJ Psychology Board
· Overseeing psychologists and speech language pathologists (SLPs).
· Experience with psychological assessment of children, especially those with autism and other developmental differences
· A background in developmental disorders and related differential diagnosis
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong familiarity with assessment techniques
· Demonstrated ability to operate within ethical and professional standards of care.
· Technical expertise with psychological assessment tools for autism testing
· An amazing clinician who has the natural ability to empathize and connect with children as well as their family/guardians with genuine compassion.
