The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and managing comprehensive compensation programs that align with our mission and strategic goals, ensuring competitive market positioning and compliance with legal and contractual obligations for Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
In this position, the Director of Provider Compensation will work closely with executive leadership across our academic health system, requiring extensive experience in partnering with Chief Officers to design and implement strategic initiatives. The successful candidate must bring a minimum of five years of direct experience working with executive-level leaders in the field of physician compensation, demonstrating the ability to influence decision-making and drive results at the highest levels of an organization. Equally essential is a proven ability to manage and lead a team of direct reports, fostering a high-performing culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
This role demands deep expertise in developing and managing effective physician compensation models, analyzing plans and monthly reports, and articulating industry best practices and solutions to a wide range of stakeholders. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to thrive in this position, along with a track record of success in academic physician compensation.
This is a full-time, fully remote position with competitive benefits and requires monthly travel to New Hampshire. Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, with 10+ years of experience in progressively responsible compensation positions or the equivalent in education and experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Healthcare compensation with physician compensation experience required; Academic provider compensation experience preferred.
- Must offer strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and resolution skills, customer service competencies, communications and consulting skills and functional expertise in managing system applications.
- Must have a solid understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft applications.
- Strong ability to communicate, educate and influence management and employees on compensation activities, guidelines and bonus programs.
- Experience in Compensation compliance at federal, state and local levels required.
