Our principals have significant experience investing in healthcare, consumer products, and regulated markets and have been actively focused on the cannabis industry since 2015. Our leadership at Ethos Cannabis has experience developing and leading successful cannabis operators in the U.S.
Position Summary: Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Program Management will oversee the coordination, execution, and successful completion of key strategic initiatives across the organization. This individual will work cross-functionally with stakeholders from operations, product development, compliance, and other teams to ensure projects align with the company's vision, goals, and regulatory requirements. The role requires a blend of strategic oversight, technical expertise, and strong leadership to manage complex, multi-state projects within the fast-evolving cannabis industry.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
- Lead and manage high-priority projects across various departments, ensuring clear objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program management across states and departments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Facilitate collaboration across departments (e.g., cultivation, production, retail, and compliance) to align program goals with company objectives.
- Act as a liaison between teams to drive program success.
Strategic Planning
- Partner with senior leadership to define and prioritize projects based on organizational goals and market trends.
- Develop project charters, business cases, and detailed work plans that include risk assessments, resource allocations, and critical path schedules.
Operational Oversight
- Implement and refine program management best practices, tools, and methodologies to drive operational efficiency.
- Establish program governance and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines in each operating state.
Performance Tracking
- Monitor program progress, track key performance indicators, and prepare regular status reports.
- Ensure transparency and accountability by communicating updates to executive stakeholders and identifying potential risks or bottlenecks.
Team Development
- Mentor and lead a team of project managers and coordinators, providing guidance on best practices in project management, communication, and problem-solving.
Change Management
- Develop and implement change management strategies that align with project goals and organizational
- culture, facilitating smooth transitions for employees, processes, and systems.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Business Administration, Project Management or related field
Work Experience
- 10+ years of experience in program/project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the cannabis, consumer packaged goods, or highly regulated industry.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
Capabilities and Skills.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects with multi-state considerations.
- Exceptional understanding of project management methodologies (PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus).
- Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations and compliance considerations across multiple states.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence at all levels.
Other Requirements
- This position is based in Philadelphia with options for remote work
- Ability to travel to Ethos operating states when necessary
- Must pass stringent background test requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Possess valid driver's license or state ID card; authorized to work in the U.S
Compensation
- This position offers annual salary compensation with additional incentive compensation based on performance.
- This position is classified as Exempt and is not entitled to overtime pay.
