Director of Product and Solution Marketing
As Bit9 continues to grow, we’re seeking a product/solution marketing leader who sees pure opportunity in their ability to own the overall market strategy for Bit9’s security platform. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Product and Solution Marketing will own and drive the messaging, positioning, content generation, and field enablement for Bit9’s products and services. This individual will manage a team that interfaces with the Product Management group and Sales organization to create compelling content, positioning, and messaging that resonates with Bit9 prospects. He or she will be the expert for potential Bit9 customers, how they buy, and their buying criteria, and they will transfer that knowledge internally and to all global sales channels.

Key Responsibilities
- Positioning – develop messaging that differentiates the Bit9 products and services in the market
- Content and GTM strategy for demand generation – develop content strategy for the marketing programs that drive demand for products
- Product launch – plan the launch of new products and build the supporting deliverables to communicate the new functionality and benefits
- Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products and services to the sales team
- Market intelligence – be the expert on buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; have a solid understanding of competition
- Evangelist – deliver compelling webcasts, speaking engagements and panel discussions promoting the company’s unique approach and differentiation
- Position Bit9’s products to align with various compliance requirements and standards in specific industries
Requirements
- Marketing background in IT Security products strongly preferred
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams and third parties
- 10+ years of software product management/marketing experience
- Knowledge of compliance regulations such as PCI DSS, FISMA and HIPAA a plus
- Bachelor’s in business or marketing
- Very strong written communication skills
- Energetic, positive attitude
