Director of Product Management - IT Automation Market
This is a HYBRID role with onsite expectations of 3 days a week.
This is a dynamic opportunity awaits for a Director of Product Management passionate about the booming IT automation sector. This role focuses on delivering top-tier solutions in Real-time Hybrid IT Automation, Cloud, and Data Pipeline. The Director will drive the development and launch of products, ensuring optimal return on R&D investments, monitoring product performance, and supporting marketing efforts for effective internal and external communication.
Responsibilities -
- Ensure financial performance of product offerings aligns with business objectives.
- Identify market opportunities in Real-time Hybrid IT Automation and assess competitive products.
- Evaluate technological advancements to enhance product usability, maintainability, and reduce costs.
- Contribute to strategic product planning, including positioning, strengths, weaknesses, and innovation.
- Create business cases and recommend build vs. buy vs. partner decisions.
- Monitor product performance and phase out underperforming products.
- Support marketing by articulating key product features and unique technology benefits at events and in analyst relations.
- Analyze market trends and competitive positioning through technical analysis and market data.
- Develop SWOT analyses and gather information on market size, growth, and share.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings.
- Create business cases, explore strategic partnerships, and decide on build vs. partner for projects.
- Develop short-, mid-, and long-term product roadmaps and align with R&D efforts.
- Establish clear positioning and pricing models for product offerings.
- Define and prioritize product specifications and requirements based on regulatory changes and standards.
- Write requirement specifications and finalize with the R&D team.
- Align R&D budget with market opportunities and supervise project management for new products.
- Drive the commercialization process and support sales in launching new offerings.
- Assist with strategic customer bids by designing effective solutions.
- Present and articulate product capabilities to various audiences at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop comprehensive marketing programs.
- Provide input to product marketing and positioning.
- Support Sales and Marketing with competitive analyses and write-ups.
- Communicate product changes and updates to internal departments.
- Provide sales training to sales reps and indirect channels.
Requirements -
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in Information Technology and Software businesses.
- Experience with mainframe systems is essential.
- Preferably experienced in the Workload Automation (WLA) software space.
- Strong expertise in Cloud and Data Pipeline.
- Solid business and financial acumen.
- Leadership skills focused on business, market, and relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
