OVERVIEW: Director of POS Systems
This key role is responsible for overseeing the entire Retail point-of-sale (POS) system infrastructure, including its design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization, ensuring it aligns with business needs and facilitates smooth transactions across all sales channels in over 250 stores across the country.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Director of POS Systems

• Strategic planning:

Identifying and evaluating new POS technologies, developing long-term strategies to upgrade and enhance the POS system to meet evolving business requirements.

• System selection and implementation:

Leading the process of selecting a new POS system, managing its implementation across multiple locations, and ensuring proper training for staff.

• System maintenance and support:

Overseeing the ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of the POS system, including hardware and software updates, network connectivity, and security protocols.

• Data analysis and reporting:

Monitoring sales data generated by the POS system, analyzing trends, and providing insights to inform business decisions.

• Integration with other systems:

Coordinating the integration of the POS system with other enterprise systems like inventory management, customer relationship management (CRM), and accounting software.

• Team management:

Leading a team of POS specialists, technicians, and support staff responsible for system operations and user support.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Director of POS Systems

• Deep understanding of POS system functionality, including hardware, software, and payment processing technologies.
• Proven experience in managing complex technology projects, including system implementations and upgrades.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams across the organization.
• Knowledge of retail operations, including sales processes, inventory management, and customer service.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Director of POS Systems

• The ideal candidate for this role should have at least five years of experience in software development and have a proven track record in leading technical product teams.
• The ideal candidate must also have a deep understanding of POS systems and be able to manage complex projects and timelines.
