- Director of Pharmacy Job Opening in Lexington, KY. "Rehab Hospital" is the largest hospital within organization, 200+beds of rehab after stroke, brain injury, and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Requirements:
Licensure in good standing by the appropriate state pharmacy board required.
Successful completion of a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or one that is determined to be substantially equivalent to a U.S.-accredited program by a certifying agency required.
Two or more years of supervisory experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Will the Pharmacy Director round on patients? Minor part of the position - 80% management process and leadership 20% of working as a Pharmacist.
- Who does the Pharmacy Director Report to and are they considered part of the senior team? Reports to CEO and they are part of the Senior Leadership Team.
- What are the hours of the pharmacy? 7am to 7pm and use the hub that stays open for after hours - AOC rotation/on call. once every 9 or 10 weeks, round on the night shift 1 time during the week and 1 time during day shift during AOC rotation.
- Will the pharmacist have remote access from home? Yes.
- How many employees will report to the director? 12 people- pharmaicist and techs - FT, PT and PRN.
- Does the position require weekends? intermittently.
- What medical dispense system do you have? PIXUS.
- What is your hospital's ADC? 165.
- When was your last Joint Commission survey? Are you in the window for your next Joint Commission survey? last april of 2023.
- How many total beds does the hospital have? Are they all operational? What is the break out of private vs. non-private beds? 220 beds, operating around 180.
- What other items are important to know in recruiting for this position? Tricky department to manage, would like someone that is able to manage multiple personalities.
- What will the interview process be for this position? CEO - in-person interview, then come onsite with Sr. leadership team, interview with select group from pharmacy staff and Regional.
Salary
120,000 - 160,000 /year
