This is a Full Time Position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- The Patient Financial Services Director has overall responsibility for the proper functioning of the district’s business office functions included but not limited to inpatient, outpatient and emergency room registrations, hospital switch board, insurance billings, and collections of self-pay accounts.
- The director will see that the district revenue cycle operations are functioning as they should and that the maximum amount of reimbursements and self-pay collections are maintained.
- The director will be responsible for the proper staffing, evaluation and review of the employees of the patient financial services.
- Interprets policies and recommends policy changes to Chief Financial Officer.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two or more years of directly related experience is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Incumbent is encouraged to join and be active in Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and Texas Association of Financial Managers (TAHFA).
