Position Overview: As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our healthcare facilities. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for overseeing a range of operational functions, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the operational teams, including but not limited to, facilities management, supply chain, and logistics.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of operational goals with overall organizational objectives.
- Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and safety.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement streamlined workflows and standardized procedures to enhance productivity.
- Monitor and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process improvements.
Resource Management:
- Manage and allocate resources efficiently, including staffing, equipment, and facilities.
- Oversee budget planning and control operational expenses.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain quality assurance programs to enhance patient care and safety.
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation and compliance with relevant healthcare standards.
- Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
- Coordinate responses to emergencies and unforeseen events.
Vendor and Supplier Relationships:
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to optimize service and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor operational staff, promoting a culture of growth and development.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations management.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality improvement.
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology and systems.
