General Overview:We are currently searching for a Director of Operations Services to join our growing team. The Director of Operations Services will be responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining system-wide process improvement initiatives, creating standardized processes and workflows, and implementing best practices for all levels of staff within our Field operations. The Director of Operations Services will play a pivotal role in planning and executing strategic initiatives, training activities, and leading change management efforts as we deliver associated business processes and procedures.
Essential Functions:- Manage the implementation of resources Franchise Owners and company-owned stores use to make decisions that will drive their business and meet operational goals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align operations with overall business goals and objectives, providing the necessary support for success.
- Foster a culture of development by guiding, coaching, and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and ensure their success in achieving individual and team objectives.
- Project manage the implementation of strategic initiatives specific to operations that drive profitability and guest engagement; identify best practices, assess business needs, and develop recommendations for operational improvements across the system.
- Gather feedback from the field and propose opportunities to leverage past initiatives to future initiatives that drive customer engagement, sales increases, and operating profit.
- Collaborate with internal team members and leaders, the field, and the Franchise community to design, develop, and continually enhance processes/programs; specifically, but not limited to, New Store Opening and New Product Implementation.
- Oversee, develop and help implement methods to record, asse, and analyze guest feedback.
- Develop, introduce, and facilitate materials for use in system and operations training, process improvements, and standardization.
- Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals.
- Build change management processes into the design and execution of all program and process rollouts/initiatives (with specific attention placed on communication).
- Maintain responsibility for assigned project tasks while providing Field Operations with consulting on newly designed programs and associated business processes or procedures.
- Communicate with the senior leadership team about shifting company priorities and projects.
- Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue.
- Identifying opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market.
- Build and deliver program management metrics to measure program effectiveness, including developing conclusions and strategic recommendations, present findings, and results to Management.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train individual contributor level staff in the department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination of team members in accordance with company policy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional analytical, problem identification and problem-solving skills.
- Action oriented, quick learner who is ambitious and has experience in driving change and delivering results.
- Exceptional ability and poise in balancing collaboration with both executive level project sponsors and with front line staff in implementation of process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to review operational and dashboard metrics for benchmarking; identify areas that need focused attention and education to enhance performance and outcomes.
- Experience with process improvement, change management, organization design, and transformation of operational functions in a retail field environment.
- Ability to support the translation of the Corporate requirements into training, development, and presentation of training via process improvement programs, addressing successes and challenges through various presentations, and other forums.
- Experience in the early stages of a high growth business preferred.

Travel Required:
- Requires up to 20% travel.
- May be requested to work weekends for special events.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations Management.
- At least eight (8) years’ experience working in an operational role supporting field teams as well as an external Franchise community; experience in the restaurant and/or retail industries preferred.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with facilitating training, meetings, and working groups for internal and external staff.
- Demonstrated process improvement experience with formal Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus.
