We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Operations, Program Management to join our Operations team at Cordis. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing, this role will oversee the successful execution of a diverse portfolio of 25+ strategic operations programs. The ideal candidate will not only ensure alignment of resources, timelines, and priorities but will also lead, coach, and develop a team of project-specific program managers to drive operational excellence. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities:- Lead the execution and delivery of 25+ strategic operations programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and resources.
- Develop and maintain detailed program roadmaps, resource allocation plans, and risk management strategies to ensure program success.
- Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Vice President of Manufacturing, COO, and other senior stakeholders.
- Build out a new, high-performing team of project-specific program managers, fostering professional growth and skill development, as business needs support.
- Facilitate the prioritization and reallocation of resources across competing projects, balancing strategic and operational needs.
- Conduct data-driven analyses to evaluate program performance, identify challenges, and implement solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration across procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to achieve program objectives.
- Establish and maintain standard project management methodologies, tools, and practices to streamline program execution.
- Monitor program budgets to ensure financial accountability and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Serve as a change agent, championing continuous improvement initiatives and embedding a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in program or project management within manufacturing, supply chain, or operations environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing and coaching teams, with a focus on professional development and performance management.
- Proven ability to oversee complex, multi-project portfolios with competing priorities.
- Expertise in program management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma certifications).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to executive leadership.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline).
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of international regulatory and compliance requirements in manufacturing and supply chain.

Working Conditions
- Remote work environment, with an expectation of 25% travel for on-site presence at Cordis locations and offsite meetings, as needed.
- Full-time position with occasional travel for program-related activities and stakeholder engagements.
- Standard office physical demands, including the ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
