About the Job
This position serves as the top leader of this regional business unit. Responsibilities of this leader include establishing business unit specific performance budgets and goals. Tracking the business unit’s performance against these budgets and goals. Compiling and formatting performance reports and projections to be reviewed with upper management on a periodic basis. Responsible for the operations, profitability, and success of this business unit as a whole. Developing clients and procurement of work. Balancing work demands with resource utilization. Responsible for oversight of recruitment and retention of field employees, and development of non-union field resources with the overall goal of evolving into local workforces, thus reducing travel/per diems. Responsible for assuring the proper amount of work is secured considering available resources. Responsible for keeping in house resources available when additional work presents itself. Heavily involved with tracking and maintenance of our SW equipment and maintenance of equipment. Active participation in reviewing the estimate and establishing the budget for all projects in this business unit. Overall project oversite of all projects within the business unit. This role will serve as the Project Executive/Director for all jobs in the business unit, which includes successful communication with Clayco/GC and promoting a team mentality. This role will include mentoring and managing Project Managers, Engineers, Project Directors, Estimator, and Operations personnel. This leader will be an integral part of the growth and expansion of CSI over the next 5-10 years.
Compensation: $175k/yr. - $225k/yr.

Department: Operations/Project Management
Reports to: President/Chief Operating Officer
Direct Reports: Project Director/Senior Project Manager/Project Manager/ Project Engineer/Field Operations/Dispatcher
Specific Responsibilities:
- Participate in Safety Committee and lead by example regarding CSI safety culture along with support for the CSI Safety Director.
- Participation and Business Unit representative in the annual Budget meetings.
- Develop and maintain Business Unit Budgets and Goals.
- Business Development with Clients (Clayco and beyond) and seek job opportunities within the business Unit.
- Provide business unit wide project schedules to help estimate overall company resource needs.
- Manage the office and management staff in project setup and project execution
- Maintain client relationships
- Ultimately responsible for the safe and quality execution and delivery of the projects.
- Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report for all projects within that unit, making adjustments in the operations as needed to meet or exceed budgets.
- Maintain relationships with key vendors and subcontractors
- Maintain a profitable business unit.
- Continue to develop and implement strategies to grow the Business Unit
- Overall responsibility of all active participants in the business unit, from Pre-con/Estimators and Project/Operations Managers to Field Superintendents and Foreman.
- Oversight regarding accounts receivable & open retentions on all projects within the business unit, and help colleting as needed.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports within the business unit.
- Actively participate in CSI Steering Committee meetings.
- Responsible for strong project planning and schedule development for each project within the unit.

Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements
- 15+ Years of Experience in Concrete Industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering required.
- Complete knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
- Proficient at leading a successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
- Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
- 10+ years management experience
