Resources for Human Development (RHD) is now hiring a Director of Operations to join our team!
The Director of Operations works closely with the Service Line Director (SLD) and serves as their designee. In conjunction with the SLD, the Director of Operations oversees major quality and functional systems throughout the agency and participates in the development of policies and procedures governing the agency. The Director of Operations exercises independent judgment within a broad framework of rules, regulations, and policies to assure that RHD meets all standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities/Duties:
Quality Assurance:
The Director of Operations works closely with the Service Line Director (SLD) and serves as their designee. The Director of Operations exercises independent judgment within a broad framework of rules, regulations, and policies to assure that RHD meets all standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities/Duties:
Quality Assurance:
- Oversees weekly Medication System checks to include the review and filing of monthly medical delivery documentation and a full semi-annual review of client medical and confidential records.
- Conducts system/documentation training for managers and provides regular feedback on documentation expectations.
- Submits annual documentation to the State for the renewal of program MAP licenses.
- Prepares biannual Emergency Evacuation Safety Plans (EESP's) and submits to the State for approval.
- Coordinates quarterly full system reviews.
- Monitors fire drills conducted in the programs.
- Leads client investigations and assists with employee investigations where needed, keeping detailed records of investigation information, reporting to the State as requested.
Asset Management:
- Establishes/monitors policies and procedures around the maintenance of vehicles and coordinates the purchase of new vehicles.
- Reviews monthly reports from ARI on vehicle maintenance/fuel reports.
- Works with Driving Safety Coordinator to ensure all accident-related matters are addressed.
- Communicates on an ongoing basis with all Landlords.
- Schedules yearly program equipment inspection and documentation (heaters, furnaces, smoke detectors, CO2 detectors and fire extinguishers).
Fund Management:
- Chairs client fund committee, working to evaluate and establish policies and procedures.
- Oversees the monthly review of client funds system.
- Reviews program funding documentation to ensure the agency meets the regulatory requirements and expectations of funders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- 5 years of supervisory experience managing programs and systems in nonprofit human services.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, Master's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with State regulations governing services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
- Demonstrates strategic, analytical, and creative thinking.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to engage and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent listening skills to manage conflict and investigations.
- Demonstrate skills in organizational management with the ability to coach and develop staff, create and lead high-performance teams, and set and achieve strategic objectives.
- Ability to hold people accountable for outcomes in a clear, direct, respectful, and supportive manner.
- Ability to work with a diverse population of clients and staff.
- CPR/First Aid, MAP certification (training provided upon hire).
- Preferred candidates have worked with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
