About the Job
The purpose of this position is to supervise and coordinate warehouse operations activities for Sweetwater; specifically, leading the warehouse staff, including inbound and outbound, monitoring inventory levels, and forecasting challenges specific to upcoming projects to ensure the best systems and processes are in place to coordinate the equipment and flow of gear on all Sweetwater events.
This position is on-site Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm with some overtime as needed at our Panorama City location. The pay range is $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Must have a minimum 7 - 10 years experience managing / working in similar environment within our industry.
Key duties include:
- Oversee the operations of LED, Display/Projection and video preparation teams
- Work closely with the Project Management, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to oversee, processes, and warehouse activities.
- Formulate strategies to enhance / continuously improve the operations procedures for events to increase operational efficiency and control costs.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that procedures are the most efficient and accurate, and pick/pull and QC of equipment teams are staffed
- Management of gear in maintenance, including forecasting of repair needs and communicating batch counts to inventory.
- Management of repairs priority / asset return to service calendar to advise sales/operations on which batches can be utilized in upcoming projects.
- Supervises the product inspection of LED before they are shipped out to our clients and projects.
- Provide technical support for Sweetwater field engineers and technicians.
- Provide on-site technical support, which may include tasks such as system troubleshooting, electronic repair, and testing.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline; however, a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 10 years of progressive management experience and demonstrated ability to lead others and get results through others.
- 5-10 years of experience in operations, particularly technical, LED, and engineering support,
- Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast management, technology, equipment, facilities, and live productions.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and operation of Macintosh computers and software packages. (Windows-based PC knowledge a plus) along with Windows-based PCs and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.)
- Current knowledge of industry standards regarding safety.
- Skills and experience in effective communications practices with a wide range of personnel.
