Director of Operations, Day Shifts/Cafe Segment

Gecko Hospitality is seeking a Director of Operations for our client in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a regional director or district manager, with experience managing at least 5 locations and approximately 110 staff.
Day shift operations
The candidate should have a strong understanding of P&L, including labor and COGS control and reporting. Experience in restaurants and fast-casual settings is required.
As the Director of Operations, the candidate should be hands-on, humble, and understand that successful leaders spend their time in stores and not just in the office. A valid food handlers certification is required, and the candidate should be motivated, timely, and open to working 50 hours per week, including weekends.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is a big plus. The candidate will oversee a portfolio that currently includes five stores, which will soon double! FOH and BOH leadership experience is a must, with GMs and Kitchen Managers reporting to the Director
The compensation for this position is between $95-110k base salary, plus a quarterly bonus. Benefits include two weeks of PTO, contribution to health benefits, and travel allowance.
