Salary range: $165k-$225K
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with the Senior Management team to identify, formulate, and execute the strategic direction of the business.
- Manage and lead production operations covering manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, repairs, procurement, assembly, test, kitting and stockroom functions, supervision of personnel and subcontractors from engineering release to customer delivery.
- Manage End to end Operations activities including: Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Production and Logistics.
- Planning: Creating MRP demands based on backlog and Forecast. Manage Inventory and stock targets. Manage S&Op processes.
- Procurement: Responsible for Supply Chain Management in driving supplier performance. Utilize global presence for sourcing and purchasing leverage. Create cost reduction and improve vendor selection. Build and manage a reliable and efficient supplier chain to obtain on-time, quality delivery.
- Engineering: Effectively collaborate for BOM finalization, redline implementations, improving testing, and create methodology sourcing and Configuration Control.
- Production – manage production in clean room environment, create work plans, create measurements, improve utilization of equipment and testers.
- Logistics – manage Import / Export abroad and in the US.
- Develop, install and improve systems to improve manufacturing flow, lower costs, reduce lead time and lower process and handling errors.
- Hands on working knowledge and understanding of MRP and the implementation of automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the production process, quality assurance methods, HW, SW, and Systems testing and verification.
- Coordinate and support sales order administrator for accurate information in the Sales Order including accuracy of part numbers, ship to address & shipping account numbers.
- Implement best practices in automated test equipment design and manufacturing.
- Manage the ISO process, including preparing for and passing ISO audits, develop ISO audit teams, and handle CARS and PARS in a timely manner.
- Develop and monitor budgets maintaining control over cost of operations.
- Advise and report to management the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Coordinate interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, Program Management and Contract Administration.
- Develop operations metrics to monitor and improve performance. Such metrics include on-time delivery, repairs, production and supplier efficiency.
Experience:
- 10+ years of increasing responsibility in the engineering, manufacturing and testing of rugged hi-tech electronic processor cards, chassis, power supplies and integrated sub-systems for the military and aerospace markets.
- Complete understanding of ISO 9001:2000 AS 9100B, IPC 610D and J STD 001 work practices and standards. Experience in ITAR complied company advantage. Experience in a global company advantage.
- Extensive experience working in ERP and PLM systems. Good knowledge of Office especially high level of excel.
- Experience in managing a team and managing managers a must.
- Must have the ability to work with engineering to ensure a smooth and timely transition from design to manufacture, highest quality of manufacture and on-time delivery to customers.
- Working hours - working with middle east, willing to work from early morning hours.
- Team Spirit and motivation to champion change.
- Operations experience in the Military/Aerospace industry, excellent written, oral and people skills with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- 100% on-site position.
Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial / Electronical / Mechanical Engineer or other relevant field. Some software education and/or advanced degree would be a plus.
