Role Overview:
Join us as the Director of Operations, a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our operations, directly contributing to the success of our investment and syndication activities. Working closely with our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will oversee legal documentation, syndication operations, investor management, financial reporting, and personnel management across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the COO on all aspects of Real Asset Investment Syndication operations, including legal document review, syndication operations, transfer of ownerships, K-1 reviews, CPA communications, and distribution oversight.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with our extensive network of over 1,000 investors, ensuring transparent communication and effective management of investor relations.
- Oversee financial reporting for more than 17 entities, including bookkeeping oversight, profit and loss analysis, balance sheet maintenance, and preparation of reports for business analysis.
- Direct accounting operations for various in-house projects and company financials, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and daily financial activities.
- Act as a key financial authority, being a signer on multiple bank accounts and responsible for tracking investment deposits, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Manage HR contracts and payroll operations for employees and contractors using the Gusto payroll system, including tracking time off, hiring, terminations, and overseeing all onboarding and offboarding tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to execute various management entity tasks such as registered agent renewals, corporate filings, annual report filings, equity creation, and opening new bank accounts.
- Lead and guide a team of offshore transaction coordinators to ensure compliance and efficiency in our operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management within the real estate investment sector or related fields.
- Tech-savvy with a strong comfort level in using technology and spreadsheets.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and budget management.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficient in using financial and payroll software, with a preference for experience with Gusto.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to engage with investors, team members, and external partners.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and syndication operations in the multifamily commercial real estate domain is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-time contract position with an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience.
- Benefits include paid time off starting at 2 weeks (10 working days), increasing to 3 weeks (15 working days) after 24 months, and further increasing to 4 weeks after 5 years, in addition to standard US holidays.
- Travel requirement: None.
- Work location: Full-time remote position, operating within PST hours, Monday to Friday.
