This is a full-time position that is responsible for leading a team of professional OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) salesmen, positioned in core markets, to meet and exceed key financial and performance measurements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities:- P&L responsibility for Toolpushers Supply Company’s OCTG business unit
- Successfully direct salesmen’s large and complex customer projects.
- Leverage relationships with suppliers to negotiate optimum pricing for project quotes.
- Manage Marketing budget and salesmen’s expense accounts
- Develop new vendors from Steel Mills to OCTG Importers and services
- Develop ethical professional relationships with customers, vendors and peers through trust and respect.
- Direct Market Analysis for assigned sales regions and applies to a Strategic Sales Plan to position Toolpushers Supply Company for commercial success.
- Document customer information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Resolve customer and vendor complaints
- Manage Sales organization to expand their sales knowledge of MRO, store products and opportunities
- Track key performance indicators (KPI) and perform yearly performance appraisals for all employees
- Work with Inventory Coordinator to keep Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory at a minimum.
- Keep abreast of new products and services available in the market and makes recommendations to customers.
- Work with Company Manager to develop business forecasts and yearly budgets.
- Properly maintain assigned company vehicles and assets.
- Participate in industry professional organizations and social functions as a representative of Toolpushers Supply Company.
- Supervise, train and develop salesmen.
- Responsible for defining and communicating the role of each individual staff member and holding them accountable to those expectations; perform required performance appraisals for staff and, if required, disciplinary action.
- Bachelor’s degree in related business field and 10 years of sales management experience
- Ability to successfully manage a team of OCTG salesmen spread out across multiple regions.
- Expertise in OCTG products and associated equipment.
- Expertise in sales and marketing techniques, financial principles, and computer operations.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
