Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year
A bit about us:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced nursing director to lead our team of nurses and clinical staff in providing quality care to patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our 4-6 week residential programs.
Job Details
· Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure best practices in dual diagnosis treatment and recovery
· Provide direct patient care as needed, including conducting assessments, administering medications, providing education, and responding to emergencies
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and reports
· Represent the program in internal and external meetings and committees
· Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of nursing and clinical staff, providing feedback, coaching, training, and disciplinary actions as needed
· Ensure that staff adhere to ethical and professional standards of care, as well as state and federal regulations and accreditation requirements
· Monitor and maintain adequate staffing levels, supplies, equipment, and medication inventory for the program
· Collaborate with the medical director, program director, therapists, case managers, and other staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
· Coordinate with external agencies and providers to facilitate referrals, admissions, transfers, discharges, and follow-up services for patients
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, surveys, and accreditation processes
Qualifications:
· Valid RN license in the state of employment
· Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred
· Minimum of five years of experience in psychiatric or substance abuse nursing
· Minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role
· Certification in psychiatric or substance abuse nursing preferred
· Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment and recovery principles and practices
· Knowledge of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards
