Job Details
This role is key in ensuring the Center’s clinical operations meet high standards for patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance.
1. Supervise Clinical Activities: Oversee all clinical activities in pre-op, operating rooms, and PACU departments to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
2. Surgery Scheduling Coordination: Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to maximize efficiency in surgery scheduling.
3. Credentialing and Scope Compliance: Partner with anesthesia services/Medical Director to:
a. Ensure all procedures are within the approved scope of services.
b. Verify credentials and credentialing processes for all physicians practicing in the Center.
4. Patient Processing: Implement and direct the patient processing flow across all surgical procedure areas.
5. Staffing Management: Work with administration and clinical personnel in pre-op, OR, and PACU to maintain adequate staffing levels.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Oversee Center operations to align with:
a. Center-approved policies
b. Arizona Department of Health Services (AZ DHS) guidelines
c. AAAHC standards, as well as all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
7. Serve as the Center manager in the Chief Operating Officer's absence.
8. Policy and Procedure Oversight: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures.
9. QAQI Program Coordination: Act as the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QAQI) program coordinator.
Qualifications
· BSN Degree preferred
· Must have current Arizona RN License
· Require current PALS, ACLS, CPR
· Three years’ experience in the Director of Nursing role or as a Clinic Administrator
· Infection Control and Medicine knowledge
· Strong background in Nursing practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience in healthcare regulatory compliance – preferred AAAHC
