The Position:
Our client is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee and coordinate nursing operations in Sacramento and Yolo Counties. This role ensures optimal staffing, scheduling, and outcomes based on patient needs, census, and productivity while maintaining a commitment to excellence in patient care and employee support.
Position Summary
The Director of Nursing will lead regional nursing operations, manage staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a positive workplace culture. This position is based in Sacramento, with field-based work required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain cost-effective and high-quality care.
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing personnel.
- Develop and implement regional goals, budgets, and educational programs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Foster relationships with patients, families, and community partners to enhance care delivery.
- Monitor clinical records, operational indicators, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and performance evaluations for supervisory staff.
- Support the safe and effective delivery of home health services through continuous oversight and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Registered Nurse licensed in California.
- A minimum of three years of management experience within the last five years in home health or related healthcare.
- At least one year in a supervisory or administrative role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of home health regulations, CHAP standards, and performance improvement practices.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $175,000 - $190,000 plus aggressive bonus program
