Summary:
Our client is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing for Patient Care in their Behavioral Health division in Belle Mead, NJ. This leadership role requires overseeing the delivery of nursing care, managing multiple patient care units, and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care, enhancing patient satisfaction, and driving quality and safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee the strategic plans for nursing care delivery aligned with the organization's goals.
- Provide administrative oversight for assigned patient care units, ensuring clinical, service, financial, quality, and growth targets are met.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence in clinical and service standards.
- Support and guide departmental managers in achieving quality outcomes and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee talent management, including recruitment, retention, and professional development of nursing staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based practice standards.
- Act as a liaison for patients, families, physicians, and ancillary departments, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Demonstrate financial responsibility through efficient resource management and adherence to productivity standards.
Required:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree (one must be in Nursing) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in related fields.
- Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- National Nursing Administration Certification (must obtain within the first year of employment).
Preferred:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP).
- Experience in labor relations.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
