About the Job

**Qualifications:**

Must be a registered nurse currently licensed in Wisconsin.

At least three (3) years of nursing supervision experience.

Minimum of five (5) years in long-term care or geriatric nursing.

Experience with Medicare/Medicaid standards is desirable.

Current training in Basic Life Support required.

Excellent communication skills necessary.

Acceptable criminal background check required.

**Status:**

The Director of Nursing (DON) supervises the nursing department and coordinates nursing programs at assisted living facilities. Salary range is $99,750-$115,500 per year, DOE.

**Essential Job Functions:**

Oversees 24-hour nursing care and regulatory compliance.

Establishes departmental objectives and policies.

Participates in recruitment and retention of nursing staff.

Promotes professional standards and oversees performance evaluations.

Manages training and education programs for nursing employees.

Coordinates resident care plans and quality improvement initiatives.

Assumes responsibilities of the Administrator in their absence.
