About the Job

**Qualifications:**

Must be a registered nurse currently licensed in Wisconsin.

At least three (3) years of nursing supervision experience.

Minimum of five (5) years in long-term care or geriatric nursing.

Experience with Medicare/Medicaid standards is desirable.

Current Basic Life Support training required.

Excellent communication skills necessary.

Acceptable criminal background check required.

**Status:**
The Director of Nursing (DON) supervises the nursing department and coordinates nursing programs. Pay scale: $99,750-$115,500 per year, DOE.

**Essential Job Functions:**
The DON ensures quality nursing care and compliance with regulations, overseeing staffing, training, evaluations, and departmental policies. Responsibilities include:

Overseeing 24-hour nursing care.

Establishing departmental objectives.

Recruiting and retaining nursing staff.

Managing performance evaluations.

Coordinating resident care plans and quality improvement initiatives.

Assuming responsibilities in the absence of the Administrator and Clinical Manager.
