About the Facility: A well-established Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with fewer than 90 total beds, serving a diverse resident population including Sub-Acute Rehab, Long-term Care, and Dementia Care. Facility is known for its commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care, and is conveniently located near major highways (I-95 and I-495), offering easy access for both residents and staff.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team. The DON will be responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care. This leadership role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while making a positive impact on residents' quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff in the delivery of quality care to residents.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and services for residents.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a culture of professional growth.
- Manage staff schedules, budgeting, and departmental resources to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Maintain effective communication with residents' families, healthcare providers, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Previous experience in a leadership role such as Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team and provide mentorship to nursing staff.
