Director of Nursing - LongTerm Healthcare facility

Our Skilled Long-term care facility in Gainesville Florida is hiring an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee all nursing operations. You will coordinate the delivery of nursing care, oversee nurses and other employees, manage communication between nurses and physicians and ensure regulations and policies are followed.

Director of Nursing Key Duties:

• The Director of Nursing will direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel.
• The Director of Nursing will set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department and will guide staffing procedures.
• The Director of Nursing will organize and coordinate admissions, nursing, and patient care procedures.
• The Director of Nursing will develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards. 

Director of Nursing Skills:

• Must possess a valid RN Florida License.
• Knowledge of legal regulations and survey process in a skilled nursing facility.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the public.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
