This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of up to $205,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Director of Nursing Emergency Services: Key Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing for Emergency Services plays a critical role in managing and enhancing department operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership and strategic direction to the emergency nursing team, promoting a culture of excellent care and collaboration.
• Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and best practices in emergency medicine.
• Managing staffing, budgeting, and resources to optimize department performance and patient outcomes.
• Implementing strategies to improve patient health outcomes and uphold high-quality emergency care standards.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and effective patient care.
• Spearheading continuous improvement and innovation initiatives in emergency clinical practices and operations.

Qualifications for the Director of Nursing Emergency Services Role

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• BSN degree is preferred; a Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency care settings, with at least 3 years in a nursing leadership role.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with a track record of inspiring and guiding teams.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.
• Experience in budget management and strategic planning in a healthcare setting.
• Current certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) within 1 year of hire
