Role Overview:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing department's daily operations. This includes ensuring all activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of care for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the nursing department by planning, organizing, and managing daily functions in alignment with current laws, guidelines, and standards governing long-term care facilities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of resident care and services.
• Handle administrative tasks such as preparing reports, completing medical documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and proper use of medications and safety equipment to maintain optimal care standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted RN license in Illinois.
• Have at least three years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
