Director of Nursing (DON) - Ridgewood Rehabilitation & Care Center

Currently we are looking for a director of nursing to lead our nursing department to providing quality care. A qualified director of nursing will have an active Nebraska nursing license (RN) and an active CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

• Manage nursing leadership and the nursing team to ensure quality care is being provided.
• Handle the on-call schedule among nurse leadership (including yourself).
• Monthly audits and reviews (track call lights, med errors, risk management, expenses, etc).
• Grievance follow-ups.
• Staffing for the nursing team and nursing leadership.
• Oversee clinical classes of nursing students.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Pass a physical exam.
• Lift, push, pull and move residents, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Be able to life up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
• Bend, stoop and twist almost constantly throughout the day.
• See and hear well enough to take blood pressure, chart, read thermometers, etc.
• Remain active and on their feet for up to four (4) hours at a time.
