Director of Nursing (DON), Registered Nurse (RN)

The Director of Nursing runs all management and daily operations of the clinical department within the healthcare center.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and facility guidelines.
Direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.).
Guide staffing procedures within the facility.
Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.
Develop and enforce policies related to legal compliance and high quality of care.
Oversee budgets and monitor expenditures.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia, and current/active CPR certification.
Previous experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility preferred, however, consideration will be given to strong candidates without such experience.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
