We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of medical records, and a commitment to resident rights. This role is pivotal in managing nursing operations within our facility, focusing on quality care for residents in an assisted living environment.

Duties

• Oversee the nursing staff and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality care.
• Conduct regular documentation reviews to maintain compliance with Medicare regulations and facility policies.
• Ensure that all medical records are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Monitor patient care practices, ensuring adherence to established protocols for acute care and assisted living settings.
• Advocate for resident rights, ensuring that all patients receive respectful and dignified treatment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans based on residents' needs.
• Stay informed about advancements in nursing practices, anatomy, and physiology to enhance the quality of care provided.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license with relevant experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical records management, documentation review, and Medicare guidelines.
• At least 3 years of long-term care experience.
• Proven ability to manage shifts effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Familiarity with resident rights regulations and commitment to advocating for patients' needs.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care is essential.
• Experience in acute care settings or assisted living facilities is preferred.
