Responsibilities

• Provides leadership direction and strategy for operations associated with direct resident care, activities, customer experience, clinical/professional development, including continuous improvement of nursing services and staff to meet the needs and expectations of those served by the facility
• Ensures the use of consistent practices in hiring, performance evaluations/reviews, progressive discipline, discharges, and promotions
• Leads by investing and building healthy relationships among residents, staff and other key stakeholders
• Demonstrates critical thinking in the identification of clinical, social, safety issues within the episode of care. Demonstrates initiative and seeks formal and informal opportunities to improve clinical practice

Required Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in the state of PA
• RN degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Five (5) or more years of nursing administration experience required
• Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working all shifts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
