Overview:
Saint James Health Community Health Center (CHC) is seeking a Director of Nursing and Clinical Quality. Community Health Center (CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at three convenient locations in Newark, NJ. Health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family - from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, and mental health counseling.
Position Summary:
The Director of Nursing and Clinical Quality oversees the quality of care provided at Saint James Health Community Health Center (CHC) sites. In collaboration with the CMO and COO that relate to the patient care provided within the four sites. The Director of Nursing and Clinical Quality oversees staff scheduling, the training, education, and clinical competence of non-provider clinical staff, at orientation and regular intervals thereafter
Principal Responsibilities:
- Supports organization's mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with colleagues up, down, and across the organization
- Develops and analyzes clinical workflows and standards of care incorporating evidence-based medicine and leveraging the organization's electronic medical record (EMR)
- Scheduling of Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionist to ensure adequate coverage, and reorganization of schedule for call outs
- Organize and manage a risk management training schedule for all medical assistants and medical receptionists
- Communicate with Credentialing company to ensure all staff licenses and competency are up to date
- Assists in monitoring, analyzing, and presenting quality measures and other key performance indicators; develops relevant and realistic performance improvement plans in the same
- Creates and utilizes detailed monthly dashboards by site as a method of tracking performance and progress towards stated goals and objectives
- Oversees vaccine, medication, and supply storage, inventory and orderings
- Develops and maintains relationships with collaborating healthcare institutions, medical specialists, and community resource partners to support effective and efficient care of CHC patients while creating a medical neighborhood to better serve at-risk populations and facilitate seamless transitions of care in collaboration with Saint James Health Community Health Center (CHC) case manger
- Assists with annual UDS and HRSA reports, assist with all grant reporting
- Functions as the Clinical Lead for the triennial HRSA OSV
- Leads the Clinical Quality Improvement committee under the guidance of the CMO
- Functions as the organization's EMR superuser and develops a team of trainers for the same
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Experience:
- ambulatory care: 3 years (Preferred)
- clinical nursing: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
